Mutants

This was a first for me, a zombie movie en francais. Yep, in French with sub-titles. I expected it to be dubbed which would would have made it more “campy”. As it was, I was able to catch a phrase or two, here and there, thanks to high school French many, many, many, many years ago.

So, it turns out that I actually can’t go under three stars on this movie. It has an interesting premise. The husband of the wife and husband team becomes contaminated. The wife, being a doctor, makes it her quest to keep him from turning. She also is immune it seems, having been bitten several weeks ago but never having turned herself. Because of that she believes that a serum can be made from her blood which will save her husband. Will it work? Nah, you didn’t actually think it would did you? What keeps this flick on this blog, as opposed to above three stars is the inability of the wife to SHOOT THE FRIGGIN GUN WOMAN!!! Yeah, in several scenes she could have stopped the zombie attacks, maybe even saved a human or two, but nope, she couldn’t do it…geez.

I give it a shaky 3.
